Update on Focus

Focus is growing up so fast, he turned 3 months on Monday! Last Saturday our club met at the train station to ride the steam train. Focus was great just sat there and was not bothered at all by all the noise. I was very impressed! After the train ride, Focus went home with my leaders because I had a family event and could not take Focus or DeSoto because some people were very allergic to dogs. Focus got to spend the weekend with them because Sunday my mom and I made the trip to San Rafael to drop DeSoto off, and than headed into San Francisco which was very fun, but I wish I had Focus, but it was a lit of walking and it would not have been good for him. Maybe when he is older!

Monday was just a meeting for puppies which was held at our leaders house. We basically just talked about issues we were having, talking about recall, and practiced "come," which Focus is very good at, for the most part. After the meeting I took Focus home with me. I got a great report from them, except the crazy barking in the kennel, which they said it`ll just take time for him to get over that. Tuesday I had an eye appointment and he tagged along and was great.

We kind of had a scare with Focus on Tuesday as well. He woke up and I put him on the tie down and he started making the puking noise, but he never did throw up. So we went along doing are normal thing and fed him breakfast around 7. Around 11:30 I was upstairs and he was in the room with me and he threw up his breakfast, and the weird thing was, is that is was really not digested at all. So I called my leader and she asked if he had swallowed anything, and I said no. So she just suggessed that I soak his food for an hour. So before we went to the eye doctor, I got his food ready. While at the eye doctor, every time he got up he arched his belly up really high, and acted like he was in pain. So we than called are leader and she said we should take him to the vet. We got to the vet and she checked him out and felt his entire stomach and said nothing was in there that she could feel, so she gave him a shot which is was like a tums, and to not feed him that night. So, we just think he had a bad stomach ache. I made rice for him this morning and fed that to him and rice and food mixed for lunch. He seems all back to normal now which I am happy about!

These last two pictures I found and thought they were just "cute."

P.S. We all miss DeSoto and wish him good luck!

That sounds like a horrible tummy ache Focus! Otherwise it sounds like he is doing well. The crate barking can definitely be frustrating, but they always get better sooner than later!

I love his color by the way!
